The initiative convened by Canada, Jamaica, and the UN on 'Financing for Development in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond' will hold a meeting in December 2020 to benchmark countries' progress towards financial recovery in the context of delivering the SDGs.

UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed announced the plan in a meeting of finance ministers on 8 September 2020.
