The 2015 Global Sustainable Aviation Summit will focus on preparing the industry for both the upcoming 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UNFCCC in November-December 2015 and the 39th International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Assembly in 2016. Aviation industry representatives, suppliers, governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), regulators, and environmental groups are anticipated to attend the conference. The participants will engage in discussions on: the roles of technology, alternative fuels and market-based measures in achieving a 50% reduction in our carbon footprint by 2050; sustainable aviation; noise mitigation; environmental management; and environmental communications. The conference is being organized by the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG), with collaboration from the Airports Council International (ACI), Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO), International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA).
