This meeting will convene under the sub-theme: 'Empowering Forestry Communities and Women in Sustainable Livelihood Development'. This workshop will seek to facilitate an in-depth discussion on the lessons learned, benefits generated and challenges to promoting contribution of transboundary conservation areas to conservation of biodiversity and environmental services, to local livelihood and to sustainable development of the countries and region involved.
This workshop is being organized by the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) PD 617/11 Rev.4 (F): “Promoting Biodiversity Conservation in Betung Kerihun National Park (BKNP) as the Trans-Boundary Ecosystem between Indonesia and Sarawak State of Malaysia”.
