The Asia-Pacific Regional Consultation on the Sustainable Tourism Programme of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes (10YFP) on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) will discuss key activities of the 10YFP. The meeting aims to identify: sub-programmes on sustainable tourism within the 10YFP; areas of geographic focus; and outcome indicators. The meeting includes a special session on sustainable development of tourism in small island developing States (SIDS), including discussion of transport and tourism infrastructure, and environmental protection. The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) hosts the 10YFP secretariat. The Korea Tourism Organization is organizing the consultation, in partnership with the UN Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD), UNEP, the World Tourism Organization and the Republic of Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
