This Forum is organized by the Government of Bangladesh, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), on the theme 'Regional Integration to Achieve Sustainable Development'. The APBF, launched in 2004, is the flagship regional business forum organized by ESCAP, and has 53 Member States as well as nine Associate Members. It aims to provide a platform for regional public-private sector dialogue on the role and needs of business in achieving inclusive, resilient and sustainable development. The Forum will be preceded by the 12th session of the ESCAP Business Advisory Council, and the third session of the ESCAP Sustainable Business Network. The joint meeting will address substantive issues related to business involvement for sustainable development, among other issues.
