Agroforestry, Food Security and Climate Change

The Mitigation of Climate Change in Agriculture (MICCA) Programme of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) is convening an on-line learning event on agroforestry and climate change in collaboration with the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), Agricultural Research Centre for Development (CIRAD) and the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). The event consists of four related webinars on: setting the objectives of the learning event; cases of emerging opportunities for agroforestry in the context of climate change; governance, economics and financing for climate-smart agroforestry; and recommendations to the International Conference on Forests for Food Security and Nutrition. The on-line event will take place from 5-26 February 2013.
