This event will launch a new tool titled, 'Practice Guide to Auditing the UN SDGs: Gender Equality'. The Practice Guide was developed by the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation in partnership with Women Deliver and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), and assists Parliamentarians, civil society, researchers, and others interested in holding their governments to account for SDG 5 (gender equality). The guide presents a methodology for auditing gender equality, both as the core of SDG 5 and also an enabler and accelerator for progress on all 17 SDGs, and is an example of a unique partnership to track progress, monitor implementation, identify weaknesses and offer recommendations for improvements.

The breakfast event is hosted by Women Deliver, the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation (CAAF), and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). This event will take place on the sidelines of the 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 62).
