This event will aim to draw together civil society inputs into the sustainable development and post-2015 discussions, in order to gain a better view of civil society perspectives and advocate more effectively for their implementation. The event will bring together key stakeholders in the Post-2015 Sustainable Development discussion and help them to exchange information, learn from each other, benefit from the sector’s diversity and agree joint demands and strategy where possible. The event is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), and is being shaped by a Steering Committee composed of CIVICUS, Beyond 2015, Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN), Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP), Global Campaign for Climate Action (GCCA), Social Watch, VENRO and the Baltic Sea Forum, among others. The deadline for applications is 13 January 2013.
