This event will take place from 13:15 to 14:30 hours on Tuesday, 30 October 2012, and is co-organized by the Government of Finland, the Office of the Special Rapporteur on the human right to safe drinking water and sanitation, the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women) and WaterAid. The event marks the presentation of the Special Rapporteur’s thematic report to the 67th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA). All permanent missions and permanent observer missions, UN agencies and accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are invited to attend.
