Adaptation Fund Climate Finance Readiness Workshop for MENA Countries

A climate finance readiness workshop for countries of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, organized by the Adaptation Fund and co-sponsored by the Moroccan Agency for Development of Agriculture (ADA), will take place from 6-8 September, in Rabat, Morocco. Participants from more than a dozen MENA countries, including the Fund's accredited National, Regional and Multilateral Implementing Entities (NIEs, RIEs and MIEs), are expected to attend. The workshop will include presentations on: the Adaptation Fund's Direct Access modality, including examples of best practices in accreditation procedures and project development processes; the Fund's gender, environmental and social policies; and the Fund's Readiness Programme for Climate Finance. Participants will also discuss adaptation challenges and priorities for Morocco and the MENA region.
