Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on Digital Sequence Information on Genetic Resources [Virtual]

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBD Secretariat announced on 13 March 2020 that arrangements will be made to hold this meeting virtually.

At the 14th meeting of the Parties (COP 14) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Parties decided to establish a science- and policy-based process on digital sequence information on genetic resources, and established an extended Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group.

The Open-ended Working Group on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework will consider the outcomes of the extended Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group, and make recommendations to COP 15 to be held in Kunming, China, on how to address digital sequence information on genetic resources in the context of the post-2020 global biodiversity framework.
