This meeting is part of a series of regional event held to build the capacity of the member States of the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) to access climate funds and to develop sustainable projects and country programmes. It is organized by the IOC in partnership with the Agence française de développement (AFD), and will focus on how to accelerate access to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in the Indian Ocean. These other meetings are also being held in the region: Comoros, 19 September; Mauritius, 26 September; and Seychelles, 28 September.
