The Seventh Joint African Union (AU) Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development provides a platform for policy makers to make proposals to advance the work of the Accelerated Industrial Development of Africa (AIDA) initiative. The ECA and the African Union Commission (AUC) in collaboration with the Nigerian government are organizing the conference, which will bring together African Ministers responsible for finance, economy and economic development, as well as governors of Central Banks and key leaders from the private sector. Discussions will focus on key challenges, including increasing productivity and competitiveness.
