71st Session of ESCAP

The theme of the 71st Session of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is 'Balancing the Three Dimensions of Sustainable Development: From Integration to Implementation'. Leaders will discuss an ESCAP study on the theme, as well as the findings of ESCAP's flagship publication, 'The Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2015'. Senior officials from the region will meet from 25-27 May 2015, in preparation for the ministerial segment, which takes place on 28-29 May 2015. Also during the meeting, ESCAP, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) will launch the final report on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), titled ‘Making It Happen: Technology, Finance and Statistics for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific'.
