66th Session of the WMO Executive Council

The 66th Session of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Executive Council (EC-66) will discuss, inter alia: the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS); aeronautical meteorology, public weather services, the Tropical Cyclone Programme, marine meteorology and oceanography, agricultural meteorology, water management, disaster risk reduction (DRR), data processing and forecasting, WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS) and WMO Information System (WIS), strengthening good governance and capacity-building, partnerships, and research under the implementation of the WMO Strategic Plan 2012-2015; resource management; and communication and public affairs. The Council will also hear reports from a number of bodies, including: President of the Organization; Secretary-General; Financial Advisory Committee (FINAC); 2014 Meeting of Presidents of Regional Associations and reports by the presidents of regional associations; 2014 Meeting of Presidents of Technical Commissions and reports of presidents technical commissions; and EC Panel of Experts on Polar Observations, Research and Services (EC-PORS).
