The 2017 session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD 55) will address the theme, 'Strategies for eradicating poverty to achieve sustainable development for all', which is the priority theme for the 2017-2018 review and policy cycle of the Commission.
The session will be preceded by a Civil Society Forum, on 30-31 January 2017 at UN Headquarters, hosted jointly by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs' (DESA) Division for Social Policy and Development (DSPD), the NGO Committee for Social Development and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES).
