53rd Session of the Commission for Social Development
The 53rd Session of the Commission for Social Development will convene under the priority theme for the 2015-2016 review and policy cycle, ‘Rethinking and strengthening social development in the contemporary world'. The Commission is expected to address, inter alia: the follow-up to the World Summit for Social Development; relevant UN plans and programmes of action on the situation of social groups, including disabled persons, youth and families; and its proposed programme of work for the biennium 2015-2016.
