42nd Meeting of the Pacific Islands Forum

The Pacific Islands Forum is a regional political and economic policy institution comprising 14 Pacific Island countries, Australia and New Zealand. This meeting, marking the 40th anniversary of the Forum, will be hosted by the Government of New Zealand. The schedule is as follows: Smaller Island States Leaders' Meeting, and Pacific ACP Leaders' Meeting, 6 September; Official opening of the 42nd PIF, and PIF Formal Session, 7 September; Forum Leaders' Retreat, 8 September; 23rd Post-Forum Dialogue Partners' Plenary Session, 9 September. Among other issues, the meeting will consider options for climate change resourcing.
