At its third meeting, the Expert Group will further develop the draft framework for the environmentally sound management (ESM) of hazardous wastes and other wastes, building on progress made at its first and second meetings. The draft framework is to be submitted to the 11th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 11) of the Basel Convention, in May 2013, for consideration and possible adoption.
