This meeting of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) will prepare for the 27th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol, scheduled to convene from 1-5 November 2015. The meeting is expected to discuss the outcome of the April 2015 workshop and OEWG-35 on hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) management, the results of intersessional discussions on the feasibility and ways of managing HFCs, and proposed Protocol amendments on HFCs. The meeting also will discuss essential use and critical use exemptions to Protocol controls, and the quadrennial assessment reports of the Scientific Assessment Panel (SAP), the Environmental Effects Assessment Panel (EEAP) and the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP).
