The 35th meeting of the Least Developed Country (LDC) Expert Group (LEG) will meet in South Tarawa, Kiribati.
The LEG was established in 2001 to provide technical support and advice to LDCs on national adaptation programmes of action (NAPAs) and the LDC work programme, and technical guidance and support to the national adaptation plan (NAP) process. The LEG meets twice a year and supports LDCs through, inter alia, training workshops, NAP Expos, the development of guides, tools, technical papers, publications and databases, and the review of draft NAPAs. The LEG is also mandated to provide technical guidance and advice on accessing funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) for the process to formulate and implement NAPs, in collaboration with the GCF Secretariat.
