2nd Pacific Climate Change Conference

The second Pacific Climate Change Conference, hosted by New Zealand’s Victoria University of Wellington and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) will bring together a broad range of voices on the various aspects of climate change, including science, impacts, policy and public implications.

A broad range of participants are expected to attend the conference, including the arts and science communities, Pacific communities and activists, business and health sectors, faith communities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as well as members of the public. Among other issues, the conference will deal with mitigation action under the Paris Agreement on climate change. Representatives of nations across the Pacific will report on steps being taken at the national level to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to slow the rate of climate change.
