Organized under the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (Water Convention) with the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO), the 2nd meeting of the global network is expected to compare methodologies and approaches, exchange experience and promote a shared vision on how to address climate change adaptation in river basins. The meeting will include session on: advancing transboundary vulnerability assessments; collecting good practices and lessons; developing basin-wide adaptation strategies and implementing measures; ensuring implementation and financing of adaptation strategies through mainstreaming water and climate change perspectives into river basin management plans and national adaptation activities; and continuing the platform for exchanging experiences.
