25-26 September 2017 Paris, Ile-De-France, France
21st Session of the CCAC Working Group

The 21st session of the Climate & Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC) Working Group will consider, among others: preparations for the CCAC High Level Assembly taking place in November 2017, on the margins of the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC); scaling up of CCAC initiatives; follow-up to the Marrakech Communique; and new funding proposals. The CCAC was first created by the Governments of Bangladesh, Canada, Ghana, Mexico, Sweden and the US, along with UN Environment (UNEP), who initiate the first efforts to treat short-lived climate pollutants pollutants as a collective challenge. The Working Group oversees the cooperative activities of the Coalition, and is the body in the Coalition making regular decisions on operational matters. Representatives of each Coalition partner participate in meetings of the Working Group, at least twice per year.
