The Board of the Adaptation Fund will meet from 3-4 July 2013, in Bonn, Germany. Issues to be considered include the report of the 12th meeting of the Project and Programme Review Committee; the report of the 12th meeting of the Ethics and Finance Committee; objectives and further steps of the Fund; environmental and social safeguards; and financial issues. The Adaptation Fund has been established by the parties to the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change to finance concrete adaptation projects and programmes in developing countries that are parties to the Kyoto Protocol and are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change.
