The 2021 SDG Business Forum will incorporate the themes of several UN conferences, including the High-Level Dialogue on Energy, the Food Systems Summit, and the Second UN Global Sustainable Transport Conference, while building momentum towards the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26) to the UNFCCC.
The Forum, which will be held in conjunction with Uniting Business LIVE, is co-hosted by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the UN Global Compact and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). It will highlight companies that are using their influence as a positive agent of change in their local communities and across the world. It will also offer a unique opportunity to drive pivotal momentum towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and leveraging the power of the private sector in co-creating lasting solutions for some critical issues, such as sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic; climate change and nature loss; social inequality and economic exclusion.
