2020 Jobs and Development Conference

The third Jobs and Development Conference will bring together economists from around the globe to expand the frontiers of global knowledge around jobs and advance the discussion on the most effective policies.

Organized by the World Bank, IZA (Institute of Labor Economics), the Network on Jobs and Development, and the UN University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), this four-day conference will feature keynote speeches, a policy panel, and about 90 paper presentations. It will include presentations on:

  • forced migration and human capital;
  • implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for work, inequality and politics; and
  • the employment effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Global South.
