The theme for the 2018 session of the Economic and Social Council is “From global to local: supporting sustainable and resilient societies in urban and rural communities”.

The HLS will be held from 16-19 July 2018, at UN Headquarters in New York. The HLS includes the three-day ministerial meeting of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), which is convened under the auspices of the Council.
