The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) are coordinating and organizing an e-discussion on the theme of the 2018 session of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), 'From global to local: supporting sustainable and resilient societies in urban and rural communities'.

The 2018 e-Discussion will provide ECOSOC with suggestions and recommendations on how to best address implementation challenges of the 2030 Agenda, with a special focus on the national level.
