The annual Climate Alliance International Conference will bring together Climate Alliance members and other interested parties, including over 200 representatives of local-level administrative and technical staff, as well as mayors and high-level local decision makers from across Europe, to discuss hot topics in the field of climate action and climate justice while sharing experiences on local-level projects and initiatives. The theme of the 2018 conference is ‘Connecting Cities: Local Solutions for Global Challenges’.
In addition to a number of side events, excursions and working groups, the event incorporates the Climate Alliance General Assembly, where each member can have a say in network affairs. Founded in 1990, Climate Alliance of European Cities with Indigenous Rainforest Peoples is a network of local authorities committed to the protection of the world’s climate.
