Beijing Normal University and World Wildlife Fund (WWF), in association with the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Asia-Pacific Research and Training Network (ARTNeT), are organizing this conference to assess the potential environmental impacts of the growth of trade in Asia and beyond, and to find ways to promote safeguards for sustainability. The conference seeks to identify the best practices in the public and private sectors that promote sustainable production and responsible trade. Participants will include representatives from governments, the private sector, civil society and academia. The conference is financially supported by the Government of Sweden and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI).
