This meeting of the Environment Management Group (EMG) is expected to consider the strategic directions for the EMG, and the contribution of the EMG to the follow up of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD or Rio+20). The Senior Officials and technical meetings will be held on 26 and 27 November 2012, respectively, by video-audio conference in the following manner: 1. The meeting of the technical segment of the EMG focal points will be held on 26 November from 5-8 p.m (Nairobi) / 3-6 pm (Geneva and Rome) / 9-12 am (New York) to prepare the suggested action points for consideration of the Senior Officials segment. 2. The Senior Officials Meeting of the EMG will be held on 27 November from 5-7 pm (Nairobi) / 3-5 p.m (Geneva and Rome) / 9-11 am (New York time). This meeting was rescheduled from its original date of 1 November, due to Hurricane Sandy.
