The 18th meeting of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from non-Annex I Parties (CGE) will meet in Bonn, Germany. The CGE was established in 1999 in order to improve national communications and Biennial Update Reports (BURs) from developing country Parties through technical advice and support, and is the key technical support element under the UNFCCC to assist developing countries meet their reporting obligations. The UNFCCC Secretariat recently published a CGE booklet on helping developing countries achieve their reporting goals.
