16th Session of UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA)

During its 16th session, the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) will consider the theme 'Ensuring effective implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): leadership, action and means'. The Committee is expected to discuss: local authorities and communities needs for implementing the SDGs; institutional leadership and arrangements and the SDGs; principles of effective governance; and strategies for integrated action to achieve poverty eradication. It should also discuss the provisional agenda for the 17th session of the Committee and adopt the report of its 16th session. CEPA was established by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in its resolution 2001/45, and is comprised of 24 members who meet annually at UN Headquarters in New York. The Committee is responsible for supporting the work of ECOSOC concerning the promotion and development of public administration and governance among UN Member States.
