The Technology Executive Committee (TEC) under the UNFCCC is the policy arm of the Technnology Mechanism (TM), which aims to accelerate and expand the scope of environmentally-sound technology development and transfer. The TEC considers and recommends actions to: promote technology development and transfer to accelerate action on mitigation and adaptation; provide an overview of technological needs; and catalyze the development and use of technology road maps or action plans at the international, regional and national levels through collaboration with relevant stakeholders to support mitigation and adaptation action.
