The 11th Clean Energy Ministerial Meeting (CEM11) will take place virtually and back-to-back with the 5th Mission Innovation Ministerial Meeting (MI-5). Saudi Arabia will serve as the host for both events. 

The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) is a high-level global forum to promote policies and programmes that advance clean energy technology, share lessons learned and best practices, and encourage the transition to a global clean energy economy. Initiatives are based on areas of common interest among participating governments and other stakeholders. The CEM/MI meetings provide fora to foster collaboration and drive concrete action to support members' efforts to achieve their commitments and goals.

CEM11/MI-5 were scheduled to take place in Viña del Mar, Chile, from 2-4 June 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meetings were postponed and will now take place virtually in September 2020.
